Meaning when you start the rip process, the sacd ripper does not show the progress bar and appears to hang. I just let the ripping process do it's thing and return to my PS3 30 minutes later. At that point I cannot quit sacd ripper, so I soft power off my PS3 holding down the power button on the front of the machine. This does not corrupt PS3 system files. I rip ISO to USB and have never tried network ripping. I will try that later.
sacd ripper pkg
I have purchased a PS3 (with FW 3.55) My PS3 works well and normally reads SACD, but if trying to rip a SACD with SACD RIPPER it says - the PS3 will not recognize any SACDs put into it in SACD - ripper. "The current disc is empty or not recognized as an SACD, please reinsert". Any ideas on what to do. Please help me. Thank you
I'm having a similar issue as described here. I'm not super familiar with the PS3 as I just bought one secondhand. I've installed Rebug 4.81 and followed the instructions that @baileyscream linked to but I never get past the ripper telling me that it cannot recognize the disc. Playing either an SACD or Blu-ray works fine. I've tried different versions of Rebug and tried different versions of the SACD ripper, but 0.38 seems to be the only one that actually runs. Any thoughts?
I'm having a similar issue with my PS3. After years and years of great use archiving SACD's, I recently pulled the machine out of storage to rip an newly acquired SACD. SACD ripper boots up fine, but gives the error message. "disc is empty or not recognized as SACD." I tried an older disc the was ripped on this same machine, still the get the message, "not recognized." Any ideas for a fix?
1. Download a copy of the ripper here: =8999832. Plug the thumb drive into computer3. put sacd-ripper.pkg and all the files under ps3keys into the root of the thumb drive.4. plug the thumb drive to PS35. Under Games, choose Install Packages then SACD-Ripper.6. Upon finish the installation, run it!7. Follow the instructions and import the PS3 Keys.
Selecting no mode upon starting sacd-ripper will choose this mode by default after 5 seconds. This will allow you to automatically make SACD dumps over your local network. MAKE SURE AUTOMATIC UPDATES ARE DISABLED BEFORE CONNECTING YOUR PS3 TO THE NETWORK.
Subject to changes in the application, the proper command to rip an ISO using the Daemon is sacd_extract -I -ixxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx (where the x-s represent the IP address and port that the Daemon displays on the screen. The ISO file will be placed in the same directory as sacd_extract. Note that unlike the PS3-centric ripper program, there may not be a 4 GB file limit to rips done with the Daemon. 2ff7e9595c
